How would these fighters do against a 175ish Jake Paul

Mell, Tony, Lubin, Fundora, Lara, Jermall, DooDoo, Plant. D. Benavidez etc.

Am I crazy to think Regis could probably show up after weighing in at 140 and beat Paul? That’s a big weight disparity and Regis is a come forward fighter but I believe he could box if he absolutely had to and wanted to.

I think at the end of the day skills are more important than size. A good small man beats an average big man to me.

I hope Tommy will win but I believe it will take an above average professional boxer (which all of the guys I named obviously are) to beat Jake. And from what I can see Tommy appears to be average at best.

Not a fan of him and tired of hearing about him but what do you guys think? I hope Jake picks one of these bad cherries at some point instead of average boxers and elderly/undersized MMA fighters.

He’s never fought a boxer, there’s a good reason for that.

One thing I’ll say though is if you’re some rapper, another sports player, old UFC guy or something like that is don’t fight Jake Paul unless you wanna be plastered all over social media being knocked out. He’s good at that level.

Tommy Fury is the first boxer he’s faced and don’t get it twisted, he has been boxing since he was a kid, had amateur fights in the juniors etc. yeah he had some reality TV stint but he was boxing as a pro before that, sparring heavyweights since he was a teenager etc. Tommy has only fought stiffs so far, but a lot of people do in their first half a dozen fights. He’s won them all, which is all you can do. That’s not to say he’s going to become some elite fighter, but he knows his way around a boxing ring and has better fundamentals than anybody Jake Paul has ever stepped foot on the ring with.

Like i said, he’s never fought a boxer before, I think real decent actual boxer from 140 up could at least comfortably outbox him with ease. They don’t need to get into a fire fight with a much bigger man, but most small fighters often spar bigger fighters in the gym. So I’m sure those names you mentioned could quite easily outbox him without being caught by anything big by a bigger man.

If Jake Paul beats Tommy Fury does he get any credit for it? I personally don't rate Tommy Fury as much more of a legitimate boxer than I do Jake Paul. I do see your point on Fury having the experience advantage but I also know that Jake Paul puts in the work and wonder does Tommy work as hard.

I’ll give him credit

Tommy has been training all his life, he fought in tournaments as a junior, he’s undefeated as a pro. The opposition has been poor, but even Boots Ennis was fighting a guy 3-18 in his 15th fight, so Tommy hasn’t really had any worse opposition in his first few fights than many boxers.

He is a legit boxer, whether he’s actually any good as a legit boxer remains to be seen. He had pro fights before he had ever been on reality TV. He’s been sparring pro’s since he was a teenager. You can see interviews with him on IFL at 14 years old training for amateur fights, long before all this. Everybody that worked in the gym with him or even been in the gym with him says that he has good sparring with good level pros.

It’s just the past couple of years has been more about getting this big money fight with Jake, but you can’t really blame anybody for signing up for something like this with the money available for it. So doing this route has probably given off the impression that he is not some legitimate boxer, but before that he was pretty much go on a standard route that any boxer does.

It's rare to see someone like Jake Paul doing the big shows and everything he is doing and I honestly see the kid works hard and I'm guessing the reality tv show left a sour taste or something when it comes to Tommy but I'm definitely gonna dig into his past a little more. yeah, a lot of people seem to make out that he’s just fell into box in the last couple of years to build his name of Tyson, but it’s just not true at all. He’s been doing a long time. whether he actually does anything notable as a pro or not, who knows. but he is a legit boxer and has been since he was a kid.
