Why Do Fighters Understimate Cotto's Speed?

Quintana said "His speed surprised me" that means that fighters understimate Cotto speed. Judah said the same, Mosley said the same and now Pacquiao is saying the same thing "Cotto is slow". Seems they get cought up on the "Cotto is slow" theme and when they get in the ring with him they see he is not slow at all.

Cotto's speed ain't his strongest asset. But it's wrong to say he's flat out slow. But in the case of a Pac fight, Cotto beatin him won't have nothin to do wit speed. He's far outgunned there.

Timing destroys speed and when you put a fighter like Cotto with good speed and great timing it becomes poison for a fighter that best asset is speed like Pacquiao.

Cotto's timing is one of his big assets in his game. He's got deceptive speed due to him knowing how to time you. That's how guys like Zab and Mosley were thrown off rhythm, especially with his jab snapping.

Peep it in the Mosley fight.

He looks slow when he trains but when he gets in the ring he seems to match his opponents speed.
I'm not saying he'll match Pacquiao's speed but yeah..

I think it has something to do with his extremely perfect timing like GMA said.
That's my favorite thing about Cotto.

People get it twisted...he is quick in his own right...but timing will be the key for the win with Pac...
