It's clear a lot of fans here believe Tank is an elite level fighter. How about Ryan Garcia...yes or no? If you believe he is an elite level fighter, which of his wins support your stance?

Wont know till he actually fights ELITE BOXERS. I know, this sport is so complicated for most on here. Dumb thread.

No but he's around it. To be elite you have to beat someone elite right? His best win is still Campbell and that's a gatekeeper/ journeyman at best. Still hasn't fought anyone better than Campbell.

So, elite? No. Could he become it? Possibly.

He's got elite attributes, but isn't elite until he steps up the competition and at least wins a belt or fights a current beltholder

Certainly has the talent and skill to become one but like a few posters have stated,until he beats another "elite" level boxer one can't be labeled as such.

What i do know is he has elite level power,elite level timing,an elite level check lefthook up top or to the body,elite level speed, elite level boxing IQ and a frame that affords him to maximize those elite attributes.

Question for those in this thread....does beating Tank,who's never really beaten an elite level fighter himself,make Ryan an "elite" level boxer in your eyes?? Because he will come April,that im sure of....

He has the athleticism and speed to be at the top, he just needs to fight!

"Elite" means different things to different people. Garcia's undefeated but his best win is probably Campbell. Just on the basis of his opposition, I wouldn't call him elite.

He performed like an elite fighter at 135 vs Campbell. At a new weight class/catchweight after a layoff and with his poor opposition recently I can't say for sure. He has great physical attributes and potential. Let's see how it plays out.
