So what you’re saying is in fact incorrect. Floyd bought his contract from Top Rank and kept a working relationship with Oscar. Floyd could have done everything in house if he wanted and his relationship with Golden Boy was because of Richard Schaefer whom Floyd considered a good friend. When Schaefer left Golden Boy, Floyd ended his relationship with Golden Boy too.
Floyd was NEVER under any contract with Golden Boy.

Unlike all the other guys that fought Oscar, Floyd knew how to market himself and it’s what made him a crossover global superstar. Oscar did not make Floyd. If that was the case, how come Mosley and Hopkins who are part owners of Golden Boy not big superstars like Floyd. They both fought Floyd.
