the fight is never happening, you can try to place blame but they both have atleast some blame and its pathetic

one of the biggest problems is they keep overpaying crawford to fight complete bums, so he has far less incentive to even fight for the unification, why risk your 0 when you can fight 2 bums and make more after 2 bums with zero risk than you would fighting Spence

they all do this now, its just how boxing is. out of camp they go up ALOT. Spence was like upper 180s. Thing is with spence and crawford they dont even look fat out of camp, not like a fat ass looking broner, they still look like an athletic guy at 175-188 pounds.

So knowing this that is where the games always begin with negotiations now, one guy will have cut most of his weight down and try to lure in someone on short notice. we have all these fights announced like 2 months now, they know everyone is walking around way heavier and needs to loose 10-20 pounds not including the water cut the last week.

You bring up a valid point however you're focusing a bit too much on the water weight and forgetting about muscle mass, bone density etc.

Simply put, Crawford doesn't have the frame or the figure for 154, he's too short for Jr. Middleweight. Spence, on the other hand, has the body for 154, he'd be a perfect fit for that weight class actually.

They had almost one year to negotiate, but they wasted it. When can they have another opportunity like that? Crawford says he wants to fight 3 times this year, but what about Spence? He's become inactive just as his fellow PBC fighters.
Spence cares, that's why he moved up to 154 for Keef.

Spence doesn't feel confident enough to take on Crawford at 147 so he plans to move up to 154 where he'll feel more comfortable at that weight and hydrated etc (he'll be bigger, better and stronger) and then he'll try and trick Crawford into fighting him at Light Middleweight. This is all Spence's strategy, that way he won't get the blame if the fight fails to materialize.
