Beterbiev has some of that Tyson swag... You're OK and then you're not ... Smith or even Bivol can't do much about that... That's Darwinism for you ...

Gvozdyk and Yarde were doing really good. Until they weren't and then none of it matters anymore.

That's the trick... I don't even mind the first few rounds with Beterbiev... I might be ahead, he might be behind.. All of that doesn't seem to matter... He will bully you in a very surgical and technical way... He will bait you in a corner and shuffle around to punish you... What he did with Yarde (at his best ever) last night was a feat of sublime Boxing IQ ... P4P candidate stuff

If Bivol wins all the belts I could see the fight happening that would be crazy if he bacame undisputed at 2 weight clases the same time.

We also see Benavidez struggling to makeb168.

Im looking forward to the Plant fight to see if he's the real deal or a Chavez Jr./Zurdo clone.

I'm not so sure. Plant is the better boxer and has the better trainer. But that's why they fight...

I think he's too big and too strong. We'll find out.

Smith has the tools to potentially score an upset, but he doesn't have the heart imo.

At 175 pounds, Callum Smith is not as weight drained as he was at 168 pounds. And I estimate, that he is one of the most powerful power punchers in the Light Heavyweight Division. I rate his power in the Top-3, maybe only Beterbiev hits with more power.

Beterbiev has shown that his defense is not elite. So if he fights Callum Smith? Beterbiev is going to be getting hit.

Beterbiev's whole game seems to center around him being physically stronger, and more durable than his opponents. His brute strength and durability, combined with his pressure fighting skills forces most of his opponents to choice from two tactical options? They can ether attempt to out box him, and evade a straight up direct conflict or they can go straight at him 'Move towards the potential danger with violent conviction'.

Some fighters are difficult to find inside the ring. They are difficult to initiate in a battle of attrition. I don't think Beterbiev is that type of fighter. Tactically, I don't think he is a conundrum for another top level fighter to prepare for.

Smith will attempt to out box Beterbiev with his long-range game 'And as Beterbiev pressures him, Smith will be trying to hit him with big punches as he closes the range'. To me this seems like the most straight forward and effective way for a fighter like Smith to fight Beterbiev.

Smith has to hurt Beterbiev enough to back him momentarily 'This is how he can win rounds'. If Smith's power is not having this sort of impact, then it will be a difficult fight for him to win.

Smith did show a good level of durability vs Alvarez 'Smith withstood heavy bombardment'. To fight Beterbiev head on, it is apparent that you need world level power and durability 'Smith does have world level power, but his durability I don't quite think is at that level'.

So the best way for him to utilizes his best attributes, is to try and out box Beterbiev with his long-range game 'And Wack him with power punches as he coming in to close down that range'. Stop him momentary in his tracks, and just try and win rounds in that manner.

It is not a 50/50 and Beterbiev is the favorite.
