You guys act like Russell didn't sit around for ten years. Like he will never slow down. He slowed down, he got beat by a one day blossom. That was not just a bad night.

It was a shoulder injury and he still should have won the fight. He beat Magsayo with one hand, and Mark lost his next fight.

I would love to see that fight, Cruz would give him a good test and show him the level of strength he needs for 135. Now, all the other attributes of the weight class, Russell has, and then some as far as skills.

Gary has had 8 fights since 2014, when he won the title, and none since he lost it. I can't see how he improved like that. He got beat 10 years ago by a somebody, now he got beat by a nobody. Strike while the iron is hot, not when it's old and rusty.

As much as I like Gary Russell Jr, he's out of touch! I not only pick Cruz to win, but by stoppage this kid not what Gary need or want trust me, he looks as if he would have problems with a slick fighter but he's so determine and hardcore that Gary woud have the surprise of his life. Make the fight!
