A pro we had in the gym, domestic champ showed me how to follow through with an elbow if the left hook missed, it's more common that people think.

In this case, his arm is vertical so he initiated with the elbow intentionally and turned it over as a hook. Nobody ever threw a hook like the still picture shows. Clear eblow.
