It's a shyt style. Roy never would have gotten sparked by Tarver in the first place if he actually protected himself. Someone as talented as him should have never taken a loss, shoulda kept his hands up.

It's a shyt style. Roy never would have gotten sparked by Tarver in the first place if he actually protected himself. Someone as talented as him should have never taken a loss, shoulda kept his hands up.

If you look at the Tarver knockout, Tarver countered the counter and had his eyes closed, basically a lucky punch. Roy dominated him the first fight and Tarver just got him at the right time.

Right here in my office, only got vhs of one champ and 2 sessions (6 rounds each). Plenty of footage with other amateurs though. At that time mobiles didn't have recording abilities, you needed a camcorder to get footage which was expensive, and most people didn't own one. It was so atypical to record back then that if you showed up with a camcorder, you were probably going to be met with some opposition - especially being an amateur from another gym (one of the champs had his own gym which was not where I trained). Times are different now, but you wouldn't know anything about that because YDKSAB.
