Edgar is too green but needs to cash in before he's O goes. Canelo will view Edgar easy pay day.
Hearn's will make a few bucks, off Top Rank's gamble on Edgar's career.

Edgar already ranked top 10, we're missing a lot more information on split.

Top rank released fighters Elvis Rodriguez, Edgar and a few lesser known.

What part of, basic straight and up and down no special effects berlanga even alludes to an exciting match up with canelo? Secondly what has berlanga even done to warrant such a fight?

Berlanga is nowhere near ready for Canelo. Now Munguia, that's different! I'd like to see Berlanga fight someone like Jose Uzcategui, even b4 fighting Munguia!

I’m just wondering where all the “who has he fought” comments are absent from the machismo peanut gallery

Ever since Hearn came to the US he has been playing the "race card". He went after Haymon/Pbc and tried to peel all their boxers away and failed. Then he shifted his strategy to Mexican American vs black boxers and failed. Then it was little Mexican 112 pounders and that won't work. Now he discovered some 'territory' called Puerto Rico and wants to stir up a rivalry. GTFOH you thirsty bytch!

Edgar has been knocking everybody out but had one little slip up against Marcelo and people want to write him off. Ryan Garcia gets dropped against Luke Campbell and we look that off. I don't get it.

He actually tried to sell the Vargas v Dullorme fight as “Mexico vs PR”..I can vividly remember the interview from a few years back. And yes the Hearn/Dazn invasion definitely had bold yet unspoken racial undertones, in both direct methodology and in hearn’s rabid supporters back in the uk. I was glad to see Foundational Black American fighters, managers, and fans stand their ground in solidarity. They did what any other community or ethnic group would have done, and would have been expected to do. People who negatively focus heavily on them (and I assume you are a member of that group) get very threatened and offended by that.

One slip up? Have you not watched his last FOUR fights? I was a fan but this guy is not honest with himself and never acknowledges that his last few fights have been terrible. Never throws combinations, just 1 or 2 punches and doesn't move well. Defense is lacking entirely.

He's surrounded by a bunch of "yes" men to stroke his ego; they're not honest with him either. He needs a new team and new trainer to see if he really has what it takes. If his goal was ONLY to make some money for his family, then I get it and congratulations to him, he made it. However, if what he says is true and his real goal is to become the next "Cotto" or "Trinidad", then he has to be honest with himself to progress because he's got a LOOOOOOONG way to go to get there.

Honestly speaking , the Bobfather would have not dropped him from the TR roster had he seen something in him
The Bobfather is all about the $$$$$$$
