Spence vs Thurman at 154 still for WBC belt?

    Watched a Sulaiman clip

    He claims

    1. Spence vs Thurman at 154 has been sanctioned by the WBC (claims "wbc champion has the privilege to fight over the weight and still be an official wbc sanctioned bout"
    2. He has no clue why it is at 154

Has anyone watched any other interviews where it makes things clearer

So if it is sanctioned by the wbc he's trying to claim it still classes as his mandatory fulfilled for Spence

Is the belt on the line? If it is how can a 147 belt be on the line for a 154 fight

If it isn't on the line, then it should not count as a wbc mandatory complete for Spence

We'll find out soon enough but Sulaiman again making up things as he goes along

I'll keep saying it, Al slipped a kite full of cash into Gordo Sulaiman's culo. This "privilege to fight overweight" is BULLSH.IT! Spence aint made a defense of that title in how long? F.o.h

Sulaiman whores out belts shamelessly as long as it keeps that money coming in. If I was Spence or Thurman I wouldn't waste any money on sanctioning fees for this fight.

It be unfair if this fight counted to retain his belt at welterweight without you know, fighting at welterweight. He put the division at a halt for about 2 years now and gets to fight easy pickings against an over the hill version of Thurman in a higher weight class at PPV.

Why is Sulaiman going even further knowing this will stall the division. This isn't to diminish Spence whose HOF worthy by now who fought elite contenders back-to-back, but if he isn't going to be active at WW then should release the belts.

Porter, Thurman and DSG were unwilling to fight rising contenders in fear that it would put in danger their public image and stock unless the opposition was accomplished to a degree, difficult to do when rankings are at standstill.
