Marquez Willing To Fignt Ricky Hatton In Manchester

After suffering a decision loss to Mayweather Jr last Saturday in Las vegas, Marquez is ready to get back in the mix by accepting another huge fight. He would like to fight Hatton at 140. The WBO recently made it known that Marquez will be required to defend his title against interim champion Michael Katsidis in the near future. Hatton has yet to make clear decision on his future in the ring. They are all under Golden Boy Promotions. Details-> http://www.boxingscene.com/index.php?m=show&id=22426

I wouldn't be interested in this fight, it proves nothing unless Hatton get's brutally KO'd again in spectacular fashion which I doubt.

I still think this would be a hard fight for Marquez. It's not as if he's still in his prime like Pac was, nor does he handle the weight as well and even at 140 he would be at a big disadvantage against Hatton who would be very solid and big compared to Marquez.

At 37 years old, he's been in a lot of big wars and great fights and even though Hatton is not what he was, neither is Marquez.

Still, it could be the perfect fight for him to call it a day with. If he wins that is. A big money fight against a big name that he might actually have some advantages in.

im one of his biggest fans, but i cant tell you how much i dont want to see Hatton fight again. Oscar just want him to fight cos he knows Hatton will bring $$$. Hatton should stick to his promoting and stay retired. And plus i dont think this fight proves much anyway...if Hatton wins hes wouldnt be "back" in my opinion....if Maquez wins he's beaten a well past it Hatton...

gotta give a lot of credit too marquez, hes a warrior, and finally at his age after grinding it out at the lower weights he is getting the paydays he deserves.
JMM vs hatton would be a hell of fight, they both have huge hearts and i can see a fair few KD's if they fought

yeah no doubt, i think thats why DLH is pushing for it so much. As a Hatton fan tho i think hes finished and wouldnt be doing himself any favours if he fougt on.
