  • Comments Thread For: Liam Smith: If Eubank Needs To Be 50 Percent To Beat Me, I May As Well Not Show Up

By Jake Donovan - Liam Smith refuses to believe he will see anything other than the absolute best available version of Chris Eubank Jr. Talk of the second-generation boxer entering their January 21 middleweight clash at just 50 percent has irked Liverpool's Smith, a former WBO junior middleweight titlist and part of a proud fighting family who's grown irritated by the claim.

If Smith was a few years younger - but he's not. He was actually getting touched a lot by Mwakinyo until that guy self imploded.

Liam's been a world champion and is a tough proud fighter, he's never been exceptional , never fought at middleweight he is knocking on in years but it seems these are the only credentials that fit when fighting Eubank Jr. ...either little or old or both. This might be okay for a couple of rounds but shouldn't be the main event on a PPV .

Smith has been a legitimate world champion and tested himself against Canelo and Munguia Eubank has been let's face it disappointing over his career. I hope Smith wins he has a tonne or heart.

"Then undefeated Jaime Munguia" - fairly sure he's still unbeaten, since he's yet to lose a fight.

"then-unbeaten WBO junior middleweight titlist" - then as in, WBO junior middleweight titlist at the time.
