Shakur Stevenson cannot envision Devin Haney losing to Vasiliy Lomachenko. Even if Haney-Lomachenko unfolds the way Stevenson sees it happening, the former featherweight and junior lightweight champion still wouldn't expect Haney to defend the IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO lightweight championships against him. Stevenson, the WBC's third-ranked challenger for one of Haney's titles, thinks Haney will give up his belts and move up to the 140-pound division after he faces Lomachenko.

When you say “he has to get in line”, who else is on that queue?
These guys aren’t in a rush to fight each other. Granted we’ve got Tank-Garcia and Haney-Loma but who else is there for Shakur to stand in line for?

Shakur is a big enough name to get the winner of any of those guys, namely Tank or Loma. I’m of the opinion that Loma will upset Haney and send the 135 division into a turmoil.

That could very well happen, and that would be better for Shakur! Devin is taking a big risk trying to make 135! Everyone in the game said he looked drained b4 Kambo II, and after! Loma might get him! At least the WBC title would still be "in-house," but if Haney wins, no one would want to see Shakur vs. Loma!

I don't understand Stevenson's reasoning, He says that he expect's Haney to move up to 140, after the Lomachenko fight.
Yet Stevenson is just moving up to 135 pound's, that's a weight class below where Haney will be campaigning at in the near future.
Unless that is if Stevenson is planning a short stay at 135, and then a move up to 140 in 2024, where he then'll face off against Haney.
I actually believe that is a bridge too far for Stevenson, because Haney can match his boxing skill's, and has a bit more power in his punches.

While I don't agree with you about Loma upsetting Haney, I agree that Shakur is a big enough name, but he still hasn't fought at 135 yet. If he wants Devin next, I'm saying that when Tank knocks Ryan into the shadow realm, Shakur has to wait behind Davis.

Top Rank needs to cut to the chase and pit Shakur Stevenson against Devin Haney ASAP.

They know it's their best shot of regaining those lightweight titles. I don't believe that Loma is either mentally or physically fit to face Devin at this time; Thus the delay and stalling tactics in scheduling a future date.

Just offer Haney more money to fight Shakur instead because Loma doesn't stand a chance against him. The longer Top Rank drags this fight out the more difficult it would be for Devin to cut weight.
