  • Comments Thread For: Prograis on Crawford: He's Cerebral and He Has Power; That's Kind of Hard to Beat

Regis Prograis couldn't help but be impressed by Terence Crawford's latest performance inside the ring. The 140-pound WBC champion from New Orleans praised the WBO 147-pound champion from Omaha, Nebraska, after the latter drubbed David Avanesyan in six rounds last month.

Rougarou has to think worse case scenario. There may not be another payday at 140. He can unify, but that looks like the long rout.

He’s in a rough spot. Guys are openly ducking him and JT most likely vacates and moves up soon so no rematch.

No one wants the Crawford smoke, Spence is s running, boots need more fights!? before he is prepared to face an elite HOF, I'm looking forward to when bud moves to 154 and dominates those chumps.

Keep dreaming, he doesn't dominate his own division, much less move up and face stronger fighters at 154. If he moves up and tries to cherry pick at 154, he might get knocked out.

He's correct, Crawford is so skillful and does subtle things well.

I noticed how he throws some soft punches, measuring range and accuracy, and then hits the opponent with a hard punch.

He's tough to beat, but not unbeatable, as he does lose rounds here and there.

That's high praise for Terrance Crawford coming from Regis Prograis, who's a champion, and gifted fighter himself.
That said Crawford won't be as successful in the 154 pound weight division when he moves up to fight those bigger fighter's.
Crawford's had a great run of success in the sport of boxing, but he's nearing 40, that and fighting stronger opposition will be to much for Bud.

Hopefully we will find out, first fight Spence at 154

Spence said that he will fight Crawford at 147 for undisputed. He's actually just being petty with Thurman by giving him the fight at 154. He wants to take a fight now because of Bud taking the crash dummy in December, but he won't give Thurman the opportunity that Errol doesn't feel he earned, which is a shot at his belts at 147.

Spence also doesn't have to punish his body cutting a huge amount of weight for Thurman, because he doesn't deserve it, but he's willing to do it for Crawford's belt and undisputed.
