              RIP Gerrie Coetzee, I remember watching some of your exciting fight's.
              You had wins over some damn good fighter's, and won the heavyweight title.
              I also remember all of the back lash South Africa received due to their apartheid policy.

                Gone too soon, a true icon and legend of boxing in south africa.

                He was fantastic in that ko victory over Dokes. Other notable south african heavyweights were Corrie Sanders and Johnny Du Plooy, who passed away even younger.

                God bless their souls and comfort their loved ones.

                  I remember his fights, I remember the banter leading up to a possible fight with Larry Holmes. I remember DK being his promoter. Glad to hear he was such an opponent of apartheid like so many other Safa boxers were
