Pressure to look good is too high. It's even higher when the opponent is barely known. People want blood, but they get sweat.

Has your idol unified anything at WW?

You are good at sucking scròtums. Stick to it
To be fair, Crawford had no chance to unify anything at WW. PBC pretty much cornered the division.

He never made the effort to go after PBC guys but that aside, how do you explain fights with Khan, Brook, Avanesyan etc? There are better guys out there

When they met face to face in 2018, Spence literally said he was going to collect the belts on his side and then they would fight. This was the plan the entire time, regardless of what Crawford did.

Who were the other non-PBC options instead of the ones you listed? To be fair, I didn't care for any of those fights but I understand it is a business and there are also politics involved. I imagine those guys were easier to make fights with due to their promotional alliance or lack thereof.

Other than that, none of us know what is really happening behind the scenes but we also like to lean into any narrative that supports how we already feel. If you don't like Crawford, you will amplify anything that reinforces that and vice versa.

Your logic makes sense, I won’t argue against it. That said, In 2017, Crawford was 30 years old when he beat Horn. Five years later, he’s run out of opponents and his resume at WW is weak (compared to guys like Cotto & Mosley).
After being a free agent and while negotiating with Spence for a historic fight, the 2nd best option was Boots BUT Crawford apparently had other plans in motion to fight Kavaliauskas.

So forget Spence for a minute, Crawford has stated he wants to fight 3 times in 2023 - if he fights anyone other than Boots, Ortiz or Spence, the duck will be too obvious to ignore.

I hear you. Hell, Boots or Vergil are the 2nd and 3rd best options for both champions. Do you mean Avanesyan?

He's definitely going to have to fight at least 1 of the 3 you mentioned, preferably Spence with all the belts on the line. But also, didn't Ortiz have the chance to enforce his mandatory spot for the WBO at one point? I may be mistaken but if so, that doesn't fall in Crawford if he didn't.

He could have fought Pacquiao for years and chose not to, then he would have been in a better position to negotiate fights with the PBC guys. Bob didn't want to negotiate with them because he had no leverage, due to who Crawford beat for his belt, JEFF FXCKING HORN. IF Crawford had fought Pacquiao for the belt and won, he would have exploded on the scene and division as the man to beat. Bob would have been promoting the guy everyone looked at as the main champion with all the limelight, and his bargaining power and profit potential make him more of an attractive fight for PBC fighters.

Didn't Arum come out and say he didn't really try to make that fight? Pretty sure I recall that coming to light when Crawford left.

They were both Top Rank, in the same division, if Crawford wanted the fight, Arum would have made it happen. It would have made Bob and the fighters a huge amount of money as Arum would get paid from both sides.
