Nah the reason for 2 minute rounds is physiological. Women’s bones and craniums aren’t as dense or as thick as men’s meaning any trauma to the head is more pronounced and dangerous.

Women also don't punch anywhere near as powerfully as men of equal size, so they incur less trauma with the feather-fist punches. Their opponents are much weaker than what the male fighters are. The 2 minute rounds is just another example of society being overly protective of women, and women fighters should be insulted by this. No more babying the ladies.

Unfortunately, she failed to do that when in the ring and given a chance. Instead it was razor thin and worthy of a rematch. I'm pleased she nicked it and Mayer gave her a very good scrap aside from the opportunity. Will the champ do the same down the road or will it be more touch me not?

2 rounds is just fine how it is and the only reason the few that do watch female boxing do so.

If you make it 3 we're just going to see their already terrible stamina exposed even further, the fights will be even more boring and fought with no urgency.
More stalling, more clinching, with every fight going the distance and having no knockdowns or drama as if this isn't already an issue as it is.

It might seem a good idea to a few now but as soon as it was installed we all know it'd be a big regret.

Women do fine with 5 minute rounds in MMA. They have put on the fight of the night several times. There are women sprinters, women marathon runners., etc.. Being a woman has nothing to do with stamina issues
