I have been saying for a longtime that the only fight for Andrade that makes sense is Charlo, but it seems Charlo wants none of it. Not sure why. Neither guy can land a meaningful fight so a fight with each other makes sense. BTW not sure why everyone is against Andrade, he seems to be an avoided fighter by the bigger names. Perhaps it is because he is a southpaw with an akward style and some snap.

Yes, I think that the belts have value in establishing your worth and name as a prize fighter. As long as it a real belt, not a secondary title, the champion secures leverage in negotiations against the top talent in the division. The champion also demands the bigger portion of the purse unless he's fighting to unify, or for undisputed if he has less belts. If Cinnabon's intent was to unify, clearly it was because he fought GGG, or become undisputed, then Andrade EARNED every right to fight him by acquiring a real belt.

Mayweather didn't have intentions of staying at those weight classes and unifying or going for undisputed. Floyd's plan was to fight the names that what get him pay similar to Oscar De la Hoya and Roy Jones , because they were getting paid millions more for their fights at the time, and Mayweather felt disrespected by his pay in comparison.

Floyd was trying to fight anyone where victory would establish him as the man. He won championships, then moved up to look for the big name in the next division, until he could afford to buy out his contract under Arum/HBO, and become Money. His intentions weren't about undisputed, he was already 1 P4P, he wanted to be paid what he felt that he was worth.
