Jake gets a lot of criticism for calling himself a "real pro boxer" - without having fought any actual boxers.

I wonder if he's now planning to learn MMA then start calling out big name boxers and ex boxers - eg Floyd - to fight him in the octagon under MMA rules?

Maybe it will bring the mma world the fight they truly want, the biggest fight ever, Conor McGregor vs Jake Paul.

      I'm just kidding.

Jake Paul gets a lot of criticism, and for the most part it's justified. That being said this news is really disappointing. I really thought if Jake dedicated himself to boxing he could have become decent, and put on some exciting fights against real boxers. Probably not a title, but entertaining fights. To me this news just puts him back in the sideshow category. He's not like Shields who had years of boxing experience when she tried the move, he needs as many boxing rounds as possible if he is going to improve.

He is a glorify bum by his youtube dummies! He was never a boxer, not even a club fighter. Now he is going to the MMA and try to say he will be the greatest of them all. This fool was so dumb that he was calling Canelo out!

I don't understand why he gets so much hate. If he was someone that you could tell is not training, come fight time acts like a clown, and doesn't actually fight then I would understand any criticism. However, the way I see it, you can tell he trains hard, goes all out within his limited ability on fight night, and looks like he's improving with every fight.

Oh, well that sucks. Just when I was starting to respect the guy despite not facing a true boxer yet, he decides to jump ship. At least for some mega money fights. The worst part about this though is if he loses the fight, you'll never hear the end of it from the MMA fans that, see, MMA is more difficult than boxing.

Jake’s biggest “win” was a close decision against a 47 year old, retired MMA fighter, that prior to fighting Jake only had 1 pro boxing match which he lost by first round knockout…Jake is an absolute horrendous boxer, he’s uncomfortably cringe as a “celebrity” and anyone that likes, respect, or supports him is a clown that doesn’t know **** about boxing.
