Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce: Not Surprised My Name is Not Mentioned as Possible Foe For Joshua

WBO interim-heavyweight champion Joe Joyce is not surprised that his name is never in the running to face Anthony Joshua. The two amateur stablemates have shared in the ring in the unpaid ranks.

Juggernaut the worst nightmare for this washed, mentally weak Joshua. Would be his funeral and both he and his clown town promoter know it

Well, nobody wants to fight someone who has a good chin. Not even wilder does. Wilder don't mention name also

Everyone would line up Slow Joyce if he wasn't the modern version of Joe Grim. He's like Frankenstein. He's slow but u can't hurt him and he never gets tired, so u just know he's going to get ur ass eventually

What Joyce is describing about Joshua is positively "gun-shy".. A good description too.

Joyce would be terrible for Joshua. Maybe next year. I'd love to see Joyce vs Bakole.

The now known as use to be tough guys are now, 'fake tough guys' with belts.
And, they are catching up and starting to out number the 'still real tough guys' with top mandatory status, and those who have 'legitimate contender shine'.

They, not all but some, don't won't to train, run, or fight when they are waking up in silk pajamas, and with plastic Barbies laying next to them, who help them count their money after a late breakfast.

Why would Joyce be a name for Joshua when there’s Fury and Wilder when he is ready to fight a top guy?

Seriously…why would AJ squander two other options by taking a fight vs the le$$er fighter who btw is obviously also good?

And since when did Fury and Wilder become cherrypicks? Those are both fights AJ could lose.

AJ could lose against all 3…Fury, Wilder, Joyce…so why not take a tuneup and fight the one that will get you the most money? It’s like AJ is doing what Crawford is doing and avoiding anyone who could beat him.

AJ has Crawford-style options…for example Luis Ortiz, or Parker II, or Ruiz III. Let’s not act like foregoing Joyce to fight Fury or Wilder is some cowardly move.

Not a valid comparison. Joe Grim was constantly being KD in every bout multiple times. He always got up, until just nearing the end of his career, he was KO'd a couple of times. Jack Johnson KD'd him about 15 times in a 6 rd fight. but couldn't stop him. I recall reading articles about him in RING many years ago. The Iron man never more than a welterweight he fought heavyweights.

When you say "I'll fight anyone" but then duck the top fighters to get a payday you're going to get ridiculed.
That's literally why Crawford got mocked.

The reason Fury gets away with it is because everyone knows he's full of bs. You won't know if Fury keeps his promise until he's in the ring.

AJ has fanboys and has gotten praise for years for "being the top dog" yet he has shown that he is a coward.
