Hate to use the word weight bully but at 154 it seemed to be how he found success he will get stopped at 160 by the top names takes too many punches. Happy to be proved wrong must have been hard to deal with the loss. Good luck to him.

A person that makes the weight isn’t a bully, he fulfilled his obligation for the weight class which is legal in boxing, but it’s obvious many haven’t fought making these D.A. Comments, but it’s all good. I wish Hurd continued success and hope he has his sh_t together; if not focus on your business ventures this not a game for the loss who can’t be found!Comment

160 is a weak division he need to get back training with Kay Corona and stay active this year. Go back being a come forward pressure fighter but be a little more defensively sound and he needs to use the jab a lot more often he can be dangerous at 160 with that.Comment

I never understood the whole weight bully movement that seems to have infiltrated this sport. If the scales read 154 lbs the day before the fight then you are equally on par with your opponent. Hurd has been one of the most exiting fighters over the last 7, 8 years. All action packed. He has a really tight knit family and it really hurt him mentally when his father died. I don't think he'll ever be the 2014-2019 Hurd because of all the head shots but hopefully he can have some success before hanging them up for good.
