  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis: 'I'm In A Real Fight' With Hector Luis Garcia, He Looks Hungry & Wants My Spot

By Manouk Akopyan - Gervonta Davis wants to make sure he doesn't end up dealing with a trap fight when he faces Hector Luis Garcia on Saturday at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. on Showtime pay-per-view. Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) has a date arranged with Ryan Garcia later this year for a 136-pound catchweight bout, and he very well knows Hector Luis Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) wants to spoil his master plans.

I want it all - except belts.

Why has "I aint gonna lie" become such a popular expression?

I haven't noticed many predictions about this fight. Are people unsure? I think Tank will beat him to a pulp and force stoppage o win a lopsided UD.

Look at that close up of Gervonta, the little fella can't grow even a hint of a beard. Might hit puberty when he turns 30.

I like Gervonta. Great little fighter. Hope he achieves his potential.

Never seen so many fighters wanting his "Secondary" title! Ryan didn't even go after the WBC belt, but begged for this fight instead!

Hector Garcia is a 130 pounder moving up in weight to fight a natural 140 pounder at 135. What do you think is gonna happen? Tank stops him because weight classes exist for a reason

Good ,not great. If he was great he wouldn’t have gotten outboxed by little 118 pounder Santa Cruz or by a weight drained Mario barrios. Take away Gervonta power and what do we got? Nothing. His power is what has saved him

It doesn’t take a genius to see it, of course tank is gonna stop him. Garcia is a 130 pounder moving up in weight to fight a natural 140 pounder. Weight classes exist for a reason
