Comments Thread For: Warren: Dubois in Position Now Where He is Going To Be in Big Fights

Promoter Frank Warren will be looking to keep heavyweight Daniel Dubois very busy in 2023 - and he hopes to position him for a major fight. In 2022, Dubois traveled to Florida to capture the WBA's "regular" heavyweight title with a knockout of Trevor Bryan. Last month, he followed up that win with a come-from-behind stoppage of Kevin Lerena.

I think Dubois should hold back because he looks vulnerable. Might not be worth putting him in a big fight yet.

Put him in with The Mighty Oilskin Parker and see if he can make the step up like his stable mate Big Jugs did.

I doubt it and reckon ol fisheyes knows he get splattered from ar$ehole to breakfast too.

Will he ever get any better though? Must be a real fear with Dubois that he just too vulnerable. May be best to cash in the chips now and give him the title fight

Out Dubois in with Jared Anderson. Anderson needs another can to crush.

Kevin Lerena is not a big puncher by HW standards but he floored Dubois. If that was Parker or AJ or Wilder he'd have been finished off. Needs to improve his footwork and upper body movement and head movement.

I was high on Dubois I had him pegged to be the next big thing but he’s not that great. He could clip AJ cause AJ not that great either he’s Parker level

Injuries usually mean ped's. It seems like FW is trying to flog this guy like he knows he's got a short shelf life.

Due to his perceived vulnerability after his last fight, combined with his aggressive style? Big fights are there to be made for Dubois.

Whyte I don't think wanted to challenge Dubois pre-Lerena, but now? I think he would be more game for that fight.

Dubois past a test vs Lerena, he was hurt. But he still endured through the situation and fought his way back. Those are the positives to take from the fight.
