Shakur Stevenson's chance to become a three-division titlist will depend on how quickly Devin Haney decides to move up to the 140-pound division. Haney, Oakland, California, is currently the undisputed champion of the 135-pound division. He became the fully unified champion earlier this year after he defeated Australia's George Kambosos Jr. in the summer in Kambosos' homeland. Haney repeated the achievement four months later in a contractually-mandated rematch.

"Boxing fans have spoken glowingly of a possible meeting between 24-year-old Haney and 25-year-old Stevenson in the future"
That's an absolute lie lmfao a fight between them would be an absolute bore which is why they need Loma in the mix

In your opinion it'd be boring, there is plenty of people who enjoying displays of the sweet science just because casuals have the loudest voice doesn't mean their opinion is the most valid...

It actually is the most valid. They're the ones you have to convince to watch the fight. And when they do watch it they don't wanna see two guys scared to hit each other in a "chess match" where neither guy gets even hurt much less hit

Usyk and Fury will be exactly the same two guys dancing around each other but people want to see it because they're both considered some of if not THE best in the division going at it, the same applies here.

Usyk is entertaining whereas fury not so much. He's one of those fighters like Haney or Stevenson that need a guy to come forward to make themselves look good. If they fight someone with a similar style then it is dreadful

Wouldn’t it be better for him to just face Haney next?

I think the Ortiz fight proved Loma is cooked at this point and it’s not like Shakur needs a tune up at 135.

Haney vs Stevenson is the fight to make IMO.

Bob is gonna Juanma-Gamboa us with these two undefeated fighters.

Another problem with boxing not facing champions but picking up throw away belts by facing mediocre fighters and not a full fledged champion. B.S. to me!

yeah god forbid they fight each other for the title, just wait until haney vacates then he can fight some bum for the vacant title, then everyone can be a "champion" and "keep their 0"

they wonder why boxing viewership is at an all time low
