All of the greats fought tune-ups. Spence is a great fighter but showing up every 12-18 months is a complete waste. The suits and ties should not dictate matters. Further, Spence should have someone else do any and all driving for him.

Avanesyan was a terrible opponent but that bares no relevance. You can’t use one bad opponent to justify another. I’m a Spence fan but I don’t have much interest in seeing him fight Thurman. Especially when there’s far better options out there.
