During the first stages of the upcoming fight with Miguel Cotto, he was unwaiveringly sure that this would be Manny's toughest fight, so much so that he immediately set a catchweight where he felt the advantages of Cotto's size might be lessened. After the catchweight was set, other instances arose of Roach's issuing statements that could be interpreted by boxing experts as over cautious, or weary.
That being said, the Freddie Roach we see today not only feels that Miguel Cotto will be a much, much easier fight for Manny Pacquiao than was expected, but also thinks that Manny's abilities surpass those of Floyd Mayweather Jr., who in the eyes of even the most skeptical boxing fans in considered the most skilled fighter in the sport, as well as those of Sugar Shane Mosely, who even though past what was once considered his prime, poses a serious threat to any WW bold enough to step into the ring with him.
So, what are we seeing here, is it arrogance, ignorance or does he know something the rest of us don't. Honest posts please.....
