Floyd couldn't even beat the top guys at 160, let alone 168.

lol I can't believe the nuthuggers saying he could beat Pavlik. Why stay at 147 if he could go to 160 and beat the man? That would be the greatest accomplishment in history. Reason is he cant. He knows he cant, the comentators know he cant, anyone with common sense knows he cant.

Floyd is 100000X the boxer Spinks is, so beating Taylor is not impossible. Ward looks too green to me, and he could also outbox Dirrell. He'd have to be on top of his game, but when isn't he?

Kessler and Abraham are just too big and powerful, they'd eventually put him on his ass. Froch too, but Floyd could have some success against him, since he is not a very technical fighter. Thing is, once they get Floyd in trouble, it's lights out.
Taylor, who aside from Dirrell has the fastest hands in the tournament, couldn't catch Floyd.... but Kessler, Abraham, and Froch could?

              STFU.

Spinks came up from 154 to make an ugly fight with Taylor at 160.

Floyd coming up from 147 to fight any of these guys at 168 is way, way different. Just... no.

160 easily. According to some he alraedy weighed that on fight night. But 168 he would have way too many physical disadvantages in height reach etc.

The 21 extra pounds would greatly affect his speed and power. So no.

I've heard arguments that if Pavlik couldn't hit Hopkins, he sure as hell won't be able to hit Mayweather. But I think it makes a huge difference when you actually fear the counter for everything you throw.

Floyd has the reach, speed, defense and overall skill to compete with larger men. But I'd have to see him with a prime JMW, like Martinez, Dzinziruk or Williams first, before I entertain even larger guys.

Pretty sure Floyd could weigh in at 161 FN and even less in the ring, seeing as how he's a lot more skilled than anyone there, and still be competitive.
