  • "Floyd was 160 on fight night."- De La Hoya

DLH just did an interview on ESPN radio. He said Floyd is now a natural welterweight and that he had to be at least 160 on fight night vs. Marquez.

And he also said Marquez wants to fight Hatton at 140 overseas.

If this thread were about anyone other than Floyd, people would be saying Oscar is full of ****, and should shut up.

Given that it is in fact about Floyd, I have a feeling it will go the opposite direction.

Edit the damn title. It's his guess not fact.

This interview is from May and FLoyd SR said Floyd was walking around at 150.http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content4892.html

Also Bert Sugar said Floyd Sr. told him Floyd didn't cut so he very well could have been what he weighed. And that was on 24.7 overtime

Probably close to the truth. Floyd drained himself and yet still had to pay a 600K fine. So him rehydrating quite a bit is very probable.

Floyd has finally filled out..he's no longer a midget

I really strongly favour him over every WW now, his size was his only weakness

I would LOVE to see Marquez vs Hatton at 140 in Britain. Hatton might not fight again, and it would be a great way to end his career against Marquez and in his backyard, win or lose.

His fans deserve a home fight, and him vs Marquez would be a great, exciting matchup.
