Comments Thread For: Spence Endorses Derrick James Training Anthony Joshua, Says They Would Make a 'Great Team'

Anthony Joshua and Derrick James would make a fit, according to a highly partisan observer. London's Joshua has been making the rounds in the United States recently, going from gym to gym, in search of a new trainer. He was spotted working with Virgil Hunter, best known as the trainer of Hall of Famer Andre Ward, in the San

I’m not really sure what AJ is looking for in a new coach. It’s far too late to change/develop Joshua as a fighter. Reminds me of the way Khan bounced around trainers later in his career. Maybe he just wants to freshen things up to help with training/motivation.

The first time he fights a PBC guy, this guy will do everything to *** him up, if not sooner.

I question whether this guy wants a new trainer. I think he selfishly wants to pick up a little something from all trainers that he's visiting for a short time and then go home instead of staying and being outside of his comfort zone.

I'm not mad at Errol or Derrick get that money because you can develop or help develop things, but heart and a chin can't be changed!

Not sure if Joshua needs a new trainer, but I question whether he's getting the right kind of sparring? That's something that I think he can get in Texas, with Derrick James, or Ronnie Shields! I would also suggest he visit Bozy Ennis or Breadman in Philly!

Joshua should have stayed with Garcia in my opinion , although he lost he looked the most complete he's been. Even though apart from the ninth he could only hit Usyk with single shots , you need Fury to show how it's done. The best advice to Joshua is don't let Spence drive !
