Didn't Marquez make a promise that the fight wouldn't be boring?

Marquez at that weight could do no more. It was like watching a 300 pound defensive lineman try and cover Larry Fitzgerald. If you find that entertaining, you probably found this fight entertaining.

        exaggerate, much?

I didn't find the fight boring. I guess for fans of sheer carnage it would be boring, but I found plenty of value. I even watched it twice, so far. Might even watch it again.

Its almost like a boxing instructional video from one of the best in the biz that I can watch in the comfort of my home and refine my own technique and concepts with. Invaluable.

It also provides a very telling contrast between UFC and Boxing to the viewing populace, and how boxing doesn't have to resort to brutal violence all the time to entertain. Its more dynamic than that.

I didn't expect many people on this board (most who I know are avid followers of the sport) to find the fight boring.

But every single casual fan I spoke to who ordered and watched the fight, felt like they were ripped off. It didn't take an avid boxing fan to see that the fight was a mismatch on every level.

This was the sentiment that I got from everyone I spoke to.

Marquez was trying to push the action obviously, but Floyd's style wouldn't allow for it. The fact that he wouldn't even try to finish off his under matched foe, just shows me that Floyd isn't concerned with the fans entertainment, not that he has to be, but entertaining fighters have always mentioned that they just want to give a good show to the fans.

            Floyd does not.
