Right. The first 3 guys that should've gotten a statue before Clenelo is Rueben Oliver's, JCC and Salvador Sanchez. Those 3 guys represented ferocious Mexican boxing. Clenelo does not have the mentality of those guys. He started out great but when he got embarrassed by Floyd he changed his tune. He may be undisputed and no doubt the PPV king of boxing, but ever since he signed with Dazn he has been acting like an entitled diva. Things like being busted for roids, avoiding mandatories, accepting franchise titles, saying he'll never fight another Mexican while at the same time avoiding blacks and going on a 5 yr Eurobum (accept Bivol) tour. Clenelo has to decide in 2023 are the two fights with Ryder and Bivol going to be the last of this Euro experiment before he comes back to his American fights. If not, just strip him (and 3G) of the titles and let him resign with Hearn and go on a world tour (and take BUD with you).

Chavez has streets and other stuff named after him.

Anyway...we now see that Canelo and Wilder have done enough in their careers to warrant being immortalized. Now, what are the other fighters going to do? Especially the ones that claim to be P4P?

Well, he is one of the greatest ever fighters from Mexico.

Whether you're a big fan or not, gotta give him some credit.

Just like I give Oscar credit for being an ATG, I'll always give Canelo credit for being great. The only difference between the two is Oscar was great from the first fight of his career to the very last. Guy went out on his shield fighting Manny. Oscar also knew that his fanbase demanded he fight the top blacks and he delivered. Oscar would've never accepted a franchise title or avoided Charlo and Andrade. Oscar represented everything there is about Mexican boxing, Clenelo does not!

My favorite Mexican fighter of all time is Sal Sanchez......Technical, accurate, and powerful. He is also my second favorite fighter from anywhere, anytime in history.

What a joke, maybe because Wilder is nowhere near as accomplished. I mean his biggest win? Ortiz twice? Defended a belt vs pure trash, never unified. Meanwhile Canelo has been an undisputed champ and a mulit division champ as well. The comparison is a joke, not surprised this is coming from a clown like yourself.

From what little I have seen from him, he's definitely one of my favorite fighters too. Sad that he's not longer with us.
