Katie Taylor has joined an exclusive list of stellar athletes in her native Ireland. The 2012 Olympic Gold medalist and undisputed lightweight champion was named the 2022 RTE (Raidio Teilifis Eireann) Sportsperson of the Year during a live airing Saturday evening on RTE Sport in Dublin. For all the uneducated Yankee doodle dandys on this thread, Ireland has a huge sporting tradition across many sports. Trust me when I educate you.lol (it's not my fault your daddy's were in prison ) lol. Katie was up against tough opposition for this award. She's the greatest female fighter ever so although it's an Irish award it's fully deserved, nice to see boxing scene covering it. Kudos
