First and foremost, Hector is not a tune up. Second, Gesta isn't a tune up either. Gesta is pure trash and does nothing but give him overconfidence. I do agree he shouldve made a fight byt someone that actually helps. If Gesta is the only option for a tune up, I have no problem with him skipping this bum.

Get the f**ck out of here.

They chose him for a reason. Garcia has skills but he's a career 126 with 4 fights at 130 going up to 135 against a guy that's fought at 140.

      Open your eyes.

but he went to the olympics and he beat chris colbert and roger gutierrez...do you really think they would put this fight on PPV if it was some kind of mismatch?

So basically Ryan Garcia is going to go into the Tank fight coming off 9 months of inactivity.

          Real smart, Ryan.

But hey, at least you won't have to train hard during Christmas and can pig out on all the holiday fixings.

I agree with Ryan. Fighting Gesta is like fighting a sock puppet. Might as well not fight and go straight to Tank. Mopping a scrub like Gesta in 4-5 rounds does nothing for his preparation for Davis.

Almost all his fights are mismatches and on PPV.

Unfortunately, I can't take this fight seriously until I know that Tank will be available to fight. Get that court case over first and we'll see who is real about this.

This particular decision isn’t the reason why he will NEVER LIVE UP TO HIS POTENTIAL.
He’s far too inactive. He will get his butt kicked soon enough but I think corporate boxing will do it’s best to steer him clear of REAL COMPETITION. Tank maybe better but he knows better than to play with Shakur, Loma, Haney or even Teo.

You should offer him Pro Bono Legal Services

You might see what I do then - that Team Tank let Ryan fill out one fight too many. You want me to be the lawyer so that he definitely loses the case and has to go sit down for a couple of months and can't fight.

I'm just saying, for right now, Ryan can bluff and make himself look available while Tank's future is somewhat uncertain. If Tank gets time, Ryan can fight a Gesta (and not someone as good as Tank). I'll wait to get excited
