Because he had surgery on his wrist but let's just go with a certain narrative right, instead of facts. They said he had a mental breakdown thinking of Fortunas "power" yet came back and separated Fortuna from his senses in under 6rds. The only legitimate fight he pulled out of was his mandatory spot against Haney. For that we can give him ****.
Dont think he beats Tank in 2 rds but he will beat Tank in easier fashion than most here believe.Last edited by Sctrojan; 12-16-2022, 11:38 PM.Comment

So which one on Garcia’s fights leads you to believe he beats Tank in “easy fashion”?

I believe he beats Tank too. Ryans hand speed and power, Tanks really was talking about it in an interview I just watched tonight. It's on Tanks mind big time.

It isn't just based off one fight. Tank had difficulty dealing with Barrios and Rollys" size in which his output dropped significantly until both guys inexplicably walked into Tanks wheelhouse. Ryans explosive offense isn't going to afford Tank the same openings Rolly and Barrios lack of IQ gave Tank. Ryan will take center of the ring like he does, throwing his underrated jab and or his straight right baiting Tank round after round, setting him up for his check lefthook. I just don't think Tank will ever get comfortable enough to commit to closing the distance. The one fight Tank committed to closing the distance to get his offense going was against Leo and Leo countered him fairly easily time and time again. But because Leo was coming up in weight, those check lefthooks had little effect. Against Ryan, one of those ends the fight.
Fans here like to mention Ryan's lack of head movement and flat feet so they bring up Campbell clipping Ryan. But Campbell is 6-7 inches taller than Tank and is hell of a boxer himself. Tank will have a hell of a lot tougher time trying to set up that same counter. Imo,Tank just has a lot more hurdles to overcome than Ryan in this matchup and so I favor Ryan.

I see it the other way. Garcia hasn’t been in with anyone close to Tanks ability. I think it plays out like this, Garcia wins the first two rounds but somewhere between the 3rd and the 5th, Tank lands something big. At that time, Garcia gets stopped or starts losing a one sided battle and gets stopped late or Garcia loses a lopsided decision. Garcia doesn’t have fast feet, doesn’t use his height, rarely moves his head and I don’t think he has the grit to make it through when the going gets tough.

I actually think he uses his height and reach very well. Against Campbell, who himself is a tall, long capable boxer,Ryan owned the center of ring(generalship) with his straight right and Jabs. Same with Fortuna and I think he's able to do the same aginst the much smaller Tank.

He also fights in a wide/stationary stance because it compliments his style of boxing and helps him generate that power in his lefthook. You don't have to have Lomas or Pacs feet out there to be successful. Just look at what Canelo and Golovkin have done/accomplished.
Well see come April though.Comment
