if Berto beats Shane would Shane retire?

Think about it: he's not getting big fights now and damn sure he won't if he lost to Berto. So what else is there?

If he losses to Berto he should retire.

But knowing Shane he might not.

Berto will be the one to have to retire after the fight is over with.

he won't. he would then fight clottey. the funny thing is that a lot of people hate on berto here but if he were somehow win this fight then he would have an aguement as being the number 1 welter. Same arguement shane has claiming he holds that title now. how crazy is that?

If they fought and IF Shane loses that fight (I doubt he would right now) then yes, there are no more big money fights for him. But he is looking to get some cash because Jin took it all. He should fight Berto, it would boost his marketability and get him accustomed to a fighter who is really fast and doesn't like to engage much.

I'm pretty sure it'd go to a rematch if SSM lost to Berto, unless it was a brutal KO or lopsided UD. In that case, yea, he better retire.

Well actually, when he DOES lose to Berto, he will call out Mayweather again...
