Senior lives in Juniors head and in doing so, he has managed to engineer Teo's upward trajectory. That said, although a good corner-man, trainer and promoter (IMO) he is living a fantasy and his personal ambitions are not in line with reality, a reality his fantasy will not allow him to acknowledge.

It's just like that old saying goes: "One can take a horse to the water but you cannot make him drink".

His father led him to an undisputed title. I don't think the father is the problem. The problem is that Teo is mentally fragile, he always has been. I always said once he suffers his first loss he will never be the same fighter again. Maybe he will prove me wrong and vindicate himself somewhere down the line, but for now, he seems to lack focus.

I agree I've been saying this for a while. Lopez can not be his own man until he gets rid of dad.

Hopefully Lopez's father if he cares about his son will make the change for Teofimo. Teofimo will not make the change on his own. Teofimo is a mentally fragile person in the ring and there is nothing his Dad can do to change that.

I'm actually shocked that Prograis would actually offer this advice to Teofimo. While he's absolutely right, Daddy Lopez must go, you never give a potential opponent that kind of advice until after you face and beat them.
