I am liking Dunne's advantages.
1) Poon flew in late
2) Poon was overlimit and had to drain
3) He's got the Irish stew- home cooking in an arena everyone is cheering for him.
4) Poon is great but he hasn't fought a really talented guy since Somsak and Somsak is past it. He's fought better guys earlier in his career.
But if it's the same relentless Poon that's known as the Manny Pacquiao of Thailand, Dunne is in trouble.
But Dunne seems to have a lot of advantages, except possibly chin in this one.Comment

Hey J, I hear you on that man. Can you tell me, I don't know if you have ever seen the Kiko Martinez vs Dunne fight, but Martinez overwhelmed Dunne's poor defence and dropped him three times. Would you say Poonsawat is of a similar style to Martinez...I know the experience and quality would be vastly greater, but you know what I mean.Hey jammer.

I'm wondering how much Dunne's defence has tightened up since then, because I don't think he was ever really hurt against Kiko on the first two knockdowns, just more a case of being bulled over perhaps and Dunne leaving his hands down. Poonsawat may be able to rush him early. That's what I'm worried about mainly.
I see Dunne winning a decision though, taking into account the disadvantages to Poonsawat you have stated too.Comment
