That was racist, and a very disrespectful thing to say no doubt about it. That said Lopez Jr is going to lose to Prograis, if he doesn't lose to Martin first.

He is going to have to fght haney at some point if he wants all of the belts. If haney beats lomachenko he will be named mandatory for the wbo as soon as he wants it, maybe others. If he resigns with top rank wouldn't surprise me if he jumps right up to #1 in the wbc as well.

The WBC is making a mess again! Why is Lopez vs. Martin an eliminator, when they already said Prograis must face Jose Ramirez? If Haney doesn't feel he can make 135 anymore, then he should ask Bob Arum for a fight vs. Jose Ramirez! That would be a good fight, and would do good numbers in Las Vegas or L.A.! Obviously Teofimo Lopez is not trying to see Haney until he gets a title shot!

So Far Lopez does seem to be a stronger fighter at 140 ponds, but? He has not shown the evidence yet of having skills far superior than the competition.

Sandor Martin is a technical fighter, so if Lopez beats this guy by unanimous decision or beats him down to a stoppage. Then I think he is good enough to win titles at 140 bonds 'Become a solid champion and make title defenses'.

If tonight's fight is a close fight, then I am not sure if Teofimo Lopez is in the realm of Lomachenko, Alvarez i.e fighters who have recently moved through the weight classes.

Lopez has probably always been a 140 pound fighter. He is still early in his career, and moving up in weight. When fighters do that, it is because they are weight draining themselves extensively.
