Prograis would be a better fight all around. He’s a champion in the weight class Lopez campaigns in, and, way more exciting than Haney, so it would be easy to advertise it to both hardcore and casual fans. Puncher vs Puncher. 28 wins 24 KO’s vs 17 wins 13 KO’s. Both have 1 decision loss, both have very good potential.

Stylistically Haney is kind of unwatchable. There isn’t a matchup i’m dying to see Haney in out of excitement. More because he exists, he wins, he’s a top fighter, and the top fighters need to fight eachother. But none of the reasons is because “he’s fun to watch”.

Teofimo jr is deluded and is mentally weak. His dad was also a deluded person who gets triggered a lot. It rubbed on his son.
Haney was actually trolling with that comment and was taking a page out of bernard hopkins book. It was more of a silly, poor taste comment than an actual racist comment if you look into the context. Should he have said it? No. Did he apologise for it? Yes, but leave it to dumb fans to make it a big issue and harp on to it. Let it go, clown.

I wouldn’t call a professional fighter who takes repeated blows to the body and head “mentally weak.” It takes a lot of mental fortitude to just step foot in a ring with another man; let alone take repeated blows to the head by one.
