I think Ali originally established that pattern of any form of press outrageousness purely to drum ticket numbers up. Tyson is a lot more politically correct than he used to be as he’s clearly matured a little as he’s got older and his views have been tempered by life as happens to everyone. However, whether he’s your cup of tea or not there’s no disputing he’s a showman and his antics do sell tickets. Lots of them. If people actually buy into / pay much credence to what he’s saying and don’t realise it’s all a show, more fool them.
