There haven’t been many good black American fighters In the past 30 years. That’s why the few good ones fight Hispanics and Europeans. Most of the guys on top are Hispanic or Europeans are on top. Black American fighters win almost all of the controversial decisions and are protected by the referees to get them to the decision. Hence clinching only being allowed by certain fighters. If you think otherwise, you’re delusional. Why do you think guys like Spence and Tank get placed on the pound for pound list when they win their first title? Tank was on it before winning a title. It’s not that any one race is better, it’s just a coincidence that the top guys since the late 80s have been either Hispanic or European. That 3rd fight foso wont be against Stevenson or Haney…PBC rules and guidelines disqualify any opponent for Davis without the all important Hispanic last name. And too much of a challenge and risk for Davis to face a black fighter with elite speed and boxing skills like Stevenson, and to a lesser degree Haney.

Interesting viewpoint. I don't see it particularly as a race issue but what is bothering me is that obvious fights are not getting made. That said, we should celebrate those fighters who challenge themselves either by moving up and taking difficult fights at the higher weight ( Inoue and loma) not just to get a belt (Broner) OR taking on all challengers in a division - huge shoutout to Jermell Charlo. and Usyk at CW and Taylor at 140 and looking like Bam Rodriguez who realised he left something on the table at 112 and has gone back down there to hopefully fight Edwards.

You the only one on this entry site who apparently has his “panties in a wad” over the use of “BLACK” fighter. Does the term BLACK lives matter also get em in a wad. I “dont see it”? Who else sees “IT” but lonely you on this site?? And btw - am 100% Hispanic, and in case u didn’t notice - my favorite fighter of all time is a black legendary fighter - Hagler.
