Comments Thread For: WWE Considering Making An Acquisition In Boxing, Says Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon

Whether it was Muhammad Ali refereeing the main event of Wrestlemania I, Mike Tyson feuding with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Floyd Mayweather Jr. breaking The Big Show's nose, or more recently, Tyson Fury campaigning in the WWE, boxers have long had a history of making cameos in professional wrestling.

Let's see how it goes. If Dana white had plans and canceled then I wonder if the WWE will be able to succeed.

Wonder if them expanding to boxing is a reflection to how the wrestling business is going?

More promoters means less fights getting made. More fighters are going to get split up because they are with this or that promoter. As much as I hate to say it This is why boxing is getting slaughtered by the ufc.

Boxing is so complicated, going to be tough

You can run and sign a fighter but then you will be stuck with a Good Fighter but absolutely No Quality Opponents for him

It's a better to invest in boxing than it is in investing in a football league.

The best thing the wwe could do for boxing in the usa is to bring PBC to ESPN so that ESPN and showtime are sharing the same pool of boxers. If they were also able to entice golden boy to ESPN as well you have put all boxing promotions on the same side of the road. WWE could put up funding for PPVs as well, everyone wins. These of course are pipe dreams but if they want to really clean up the sport bringing all the major promotions under one band is the best way to do it

She’ll probably say the obvious. Why didn’t these women come out with the accusations decades ago when they were supposedly happening? Because they were money hungry and didn’t really mind getting harassed

Please no.....do not want boxing associated with "entertainment" like WWE...

Would be cool if Boxer's had flashier ring walks though!

Boxing already came like a circus, so it shouldn't be that difficult.
