Shawn and Andrade were on the same US amateur team I think. They’re probably friends. It doesn’t justify the inconsistency but it likely explains it.

For the life of me, you rlly think Shawn Porter is racist. We're talking about one of the most genuinely nice people in the sport. I will say though, that he's a hypocrite for calling out Mungia and not also Andrade. But, at the same time I give Porter leeway because him and Andrade have been friends since they were teenagers so....

He probably is biased toward Andrade, sure. If you think it's based on race, I suppose. I personally think it's moreso based on their extensive amateur experience, and Shawn seems to really support American amateurs. But also, Andrade has pursued bigger fights much more than Munguia imo. He pulled up on Canelo very publicly, and let's not forget he made the fight with BJS, who i firmly believed intentionally popped dirty to move on to another opportunity. Munguia hasn't really taken, or chased major fights.

Andrade came up in the amateurs with him too. Also if you can find old footage Andrade and King (can't remember his first name but he used to be on Ego Boxing too) trained and prepped Shawn for fights. I just don't think you are going to get Shawn to diss him.
