The same with Davis and his "regular" title @135.

Mandate the "unification", put it to ourse bid and strip whoever doesn't move forward!

The Regular belt shouldn't even exist.

And given the aforementioned reality there is money to be made off mickey mouse belts, especially given the popularity of some of the fighters holding said mickey mouse belts.

Arguably they're making more than the real champs therefore they have no reason to force them to give them up or force "unification" fights on them and risk losing sanctioning fees.

A great example of crap like this was Callum smith being the WBC Silver and available to fight and for some apparent reason the WBC decides to pass him up and making the Benavidez vs Gavril fight rather than Benavidez vs Smith and make his next fight for the "diamond" belt...

Ultimately the WBC keeps money coming in from both sides of the Atlantic not doing that fight and Smith was paying the WBC until the Canelo fight and probably still is in one way or another...
In this case, we're talking about the WBA. Nobody else has as many secondary titles as them! What I hate the most is how they decide who has a mandatory. Why are they ordering fights for the secondary champions?

Wood gets paid more than Cruz. He doesn't have much longer in the game so he doesn't need to be on the receiving end of the WBA and Haymon's corruption here. Cruz should not even have any version of the title. It's illegal for him to do so. It's nearly 4 years without a defence. But haymon knows Eddie won't bid an extreme amount to get the fight as in order to get Wood to just his last payday, he's going to have to pay Cruz millions, which would be by far his biggest payday.

Only the spiteful and corrupt would support this. They're not boxing fans. They're the people who are actively destroying this sport.

Lmao Wood has fought nobody how does he get paid more than Santa Cruz? I bet Leo's Lambo is worth more than Leigh Woods entire life.

Damn so Leigh Wood faked an injury and instead of rescheduling the fight with Lara he completely overlooked him. Classic. You're right though he doesn't have much time left that's why he's trying to cash out.

You should check online what their purses where last time out. Wood was paid 750,000. Cruz was paid 500,000.

Now you can slap yourself in the head the way you do for my entertainment. Duh brain.

Well either Hearn coughs up what's needed, PBC get the fight or Wood gives up his belt.

Fighting and beating Santa Cruz gives Wood the chance to be great. That's the only thing boxing fans are interested in. It should be the only thing fighters really care about too.

You think Leo should be paid millions when his biggest payday was a million? Are you for real? You think his market value has exploded?

Wood wouldn't be close to great with a win over Leo. It would be a good win. Wood would still be a good fighter unless he proved more.
