Good question, obviously none of us really knows until that time comes, however the difference in the way Roy and Oscar is that Oscar usually walked around below the weight limit in the class he was fighting in, there isn't such a huge drop off compared to Roy Jones.

I would like to see him fight spinks, he could wipe him out and take over at 147. After h takes out spinks how do you feel he will do against people like TZ and Zab. i personally think he can beat them both. i dont think there is anyone at 147 that can mess with DLH

I think he will drop the weight over a long period of time to make sure he doesn't hurt his body. He would take out Spinks and Zab, but the KT fight won't happen. I am glad he's moving down, otherwise, I'd think he wouldn't go anywhere at heavier weights.

I'm glad he's going back down in weight. 160 and even 154 was too much for him. At 147, his punching power will be evident and plus, his chances of getting KTFO again will surely be diminished greatly.

but the diff big diif is
roy was comin from fightin way bigger guys to fightin bigger guys
and oscar is comin down from fightin bigger guys
to fight same size if not smaller guys

                  o forgot to say also
another diff is that oscar has already said tha he walks around at about 150
so he should easily be able to make 147

It'll be interesting to see how Oscar operates in the ring when or if he does return. We all saw how Roy was gun-shy after his KO loss. Seems like Oscar is too preoccupied with Golden Boys Promo and his wife to be boxing at an elite level.
