now stop with the pathetic excuses like "he didn't KO'd him because he respected him too much". if he respected him enough, he wouldn't come 2 pounds over the freaking weight limit
I gave a survey of reasons because of the nature of Mayweather. He likes to keep his motivations and true intentions shrouded in mystery, to the apparent extreme frustration of cats like you..

That's my point. You CAN'T know that he couldn't have knocked out JMM if he wanted to. He certainly could outpoint him and outmaneuver him and hit him with jabs and hooks and pretty much any shot he wanted to at will, and knocked him down easily when Marquez tagged him, upping the ante of the fight a bit.

I mean, such short memory, dude. One line can sum it up. 40-0. 25 KO's. He can knock ma****as out, you are playing yourself if you refute that.

Yea because its a lot more impressive to decision win over a blown up natural featherweight than knock him out. Hahaha **** the stuff being posted one these boards is just........ man....

You guys would have been crying either way. If he knocked out JMM, he would have been called out on seeming to be bigger and stronger even MORE than him dominating a UD.

Y'all would have had your tissues out your lunchboxes talking about "he's so mean, and such a bully I hate him, I hate him, I hate him" *stomp foot*

I hardly hate floyd. I just want him to fight credible fights. If he can't do that then he needs to retire again. And if your gonna be a ***** and bully a smaller fighter might as well KO him and floyd couldnt do that. Marquez has so much more heart than floyd its laughable. Marquez would step in with cotto or mosley before floyd ever would. he would be too busy cowering under his bed.

he couldn't KO marquez, and you can't change that. he jumped back every single time that marquez was hurt and fired back at him

floyd just doesn't have enough balls to trade with gutsy people. the sad thing is that a freaking FW was the guy to make this apparent

you say floyd COULD'VE KO marquez. floyd also COULD'VE tried to answer back to mosley, instead of hiding behind his promoters. pathetic

hey, he just has to fight the guys of his own division. seeing as he's the most skillful guy out there, it shouldn't be so hard, should it?

I refer you, sir, to Floyd's earlier fights.

Holding the only respectable form of fighting to be "trading" is such a ridiculous notion though. Only people that have never been hit, felt a cracked rib, or a broken nose say that kind of ****. Or say that defense is "*****". Hence, armchair warriors.

As to JMM, I think Floyd treated it like a tune up fight. He wanted to get re-acclimated to a full 12 round bout after a 21 month layoff. That's probably the most likely reason, anyway.

But I will leave room for a slight possibility: maybe, just maybe, JMM being the warrior he is wasn't stopped because of his legendary heart and resilience, despite being outmatched in every way.
