Whyte edged it, Franklin has good recuperative powers, but they're both a bit slow.
The reason that they're slow, and fight at a tired pace is because they're are too damn fat.
The name of the weight class is Heavyweight Division, not Fat Weight Division.
Although Andy Ruiz is also fat, he can get away with it, because he has good energy and fast hands.

This was intended to be a showcase fight for Whyte…no doubt. Of course Hearns played it up talking about “dangerous” Franklin is, so he could tell his casuals “Whyte knocked out an undefeated American…” to sell it.
Obviously Whyte is notoriously hard to deal with, and j have s feeling he might price him himself out of this fight. I think had he not whined about the 1000 day wait or whatever, he might have not even fought Fury.
I truly believe in my heart. Whyte is one of the biggest cowards in heavyweight history. He covers this with that that rah-rah **** he talks….but can only back it up against the likes of Lucas Browne.
His energy was a lot different in the Fury build up as it was after the Franklin embarrassment. Straight coward.

Hearn is saying this to gain leverage in Joshua-Whyte II negotiations.

His position will be "Dillian didn't look good in his last fight, so he deserves less money".

But he still deserves this fight, of course, because he won.

I just watched the fight. 115-113 Franklin is good. 114-114 is a bit generous to Whyte. Otherwise, straight BS.
