Don't act like Mayeather sold the fight himself

Mayweather was the man in the fight so to speak meaning the A side, and Marquez was the B side. Still Marquez made a huge difference in selling the fight especially 24-7. Another big selling point was the fact that many believed he beat Pacman in the 2nd fight (This was selling point thru out the promotion by Mayeather/Golden Boy/HBO). Throw in the the fact that it was held on Mexico' Independance day week and you got a good seller.

I made a post about how this fight would be the biggest seller of the year and many laughed.Sure the fight was a farce based on weight but people wanted to see if Marquez could still perform effectively and go up 3 divisions to fight Mayweather.

    Mayweather is a draw.

Of course a decent is chunk is due to Marquez, but Floyd did alot of press, appeared on shows and proved once and for all that he is the biggest draw in the sport.

I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the draw was Marquez. Where I live everyone would ask if I was going to watch the "Marquez" fight. Barber, coworkers, people from school and gym. Mexican population is huge.

Well Marquez played a major part. In case anyone hasn't noticed, Mexican have been dying for a fighter they can rally behind. Did you see the turnout Margarito got at the staple center...bigger crowd than any ever held there and you have to remember they do a ****load of live concerts and the Lakers (world champions and storied franchise) play there. Also listen to the crowd rally behind marquez during the event. Mexicans and Brits really come out in support.

Only and Idiot would think it was all floyd or floyd played the biggest part. I say it was even.
