Let's not forget Beterbiev was signed with matchroom back in 2018 and could've fought Bivol after his fight with Callum johnson but he choose to leave Dazn/matchroom and went and fought Radivoje Kalajdzic instead, I'm pretty sure Beterbiev himself has been the obstacle for a while now...

We know it depends on your promoters to make the fight, but with out a doubt you can say I want to fight this guy.
More importantly that's exactly what you should do, say it with convection in your voice because you want to be the best.
Besides beating Canelo again in a rematch, Beterbiev is the most important fight in your career, and it's for unification if not for undisputed.

Regardless he had an opportunity to go straight into the Bivol fight after the Johnson fight and he choose to go instead with a fight with Kalajdzic then Gvozdyk.

It's more than apparent he preferred the idea of the Gvozdyk fight and in turn not fighting Bivol.

Though it's arguable he done that because Gvozdyk was the lineal at LHW but the fight would've been bigger if they'd been more belts on the line and both guys had a bit more name recognition.

And name recognition remains an issue for Artur vs Dmitry now, though you could say Bivol has done his part on that front...

Bivol is hesitant, I understand. He knows it would be the hardest fight of his life, where he would have to be perfect for 36 minutes to get a victory; surviving bombs, mauling and insane inside power.
